Although an old article(+ 6 months old), its interesting to see that according to Bloomberg(Via Reuters) Open AI doesn’t think it will be profitable until 2029 and with the massive investments into Open AI($100 Billion from Nvidia) it causes a lot of questions about AI’s stability in the medium term. Long term whoever’s got control of the LLM’s will make massive amounts of profit and short term investment money is going like there’s no tomorrow, but the medium term looks like a bubble burst.

Is there something investors know that I don’t or will OpenAI be bailed throughout the bubble burst? Or is thinking of future profit like most businesses not how AI will work and an alternative economic model from Capitalism is being used instead because of how this technology adapts?
