Recently, Wikipedia made this meta page of how AI was used in its revisions of its pages. AI on wikipedia qualifies as speedy deletion/reversion(an article can be deleted/reverted without counting to 3RR without discussion if its AI generated) so its important that wikipedia is able to detect AI writing. It’s interesting to see how there are still clear differences between human written and AI writing, so I need to ask why the AI generates these style of writing as the most likely form of communication to the end user on a given prompt?
And how would AI work if it was trained to mimic wikipedia’s editing style and would it be harder to detect on wikipedia?
